Launching conference of the European Network of Migrant Women
After three years of work and reflection and the support off the European Women's Lobby, the European Network of Migrant Women was officially launched in Brussels.
Eunomad has attended the workshop, held June 18, 2010, in the European economic and social Committee, with the support of the European Programme of Integration and Migration (EPIM) of the Network of European Foundations. The network’s objectives are to:
- promote equal treatment and a better integration of migrant women in Europe,
- contribute to all aspects of the policy agenda of the EU as it affects and impact the life of migrant women,
- shape social policies that answer the needs of migrants,
- provide capacity building support to migrant women organisations.
Eunomad has interfaced with members of the European Network of Migrant Women, especially "Fatima" - Forum Advocacy Training, Information Multicultural Arena (UK). - and the European Women's Lobby. A follow up meeting is scheduled soon between this organisation and Eunomad.
